There’s leftover food in these shoes. We took a byproduct of our daily lives — agricultural waste — and gave it a new purpose: as the sole of our new detoxed sneakers. The simple, canvas upper is bonded to the plant-based sole without harsh glues and solvents. The result is a classic looking upcycled sneaker that has a lighter footprint on the planet. The Elsa Harvest sneakers for women are built off KEEN's traditional wider footwear form. KEEN products are consciously created using PFC-free water repellent (in applicable styles) and leather sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified tanneries. I purchased the beige/silver birch color combination of this sneaker in a size 7, which is my normal size. The fit is spot on, a perfect fit and I was pleasantly surprised to see that these are actually a suede type material, they look exactly like suede and the color of the rubber toe and sole really add to the charm of these sneakers which I must admit, from how they appeared on line, are so much better in person, a perfect color combination in my opinion. I'm just so pleased with these sneakers. I truly wasn't sure about the color until I opened the box, they are stunning, I couldn't be happier!
